How We Chose
We compared one rug each from Loloi, Nourison, nuLOOM, and SAFAVIEH, all available on Amazon and labeled for outdoor use. We left out rugs from little-known brands and offers from third-party sellers. The rugs are not identical. Each is a different collection, pattern, and color, the Loloi is 7 ft 6 in by 10 ft while the other three are 8 ft by 10 ft, and the listings give different specs, so each spec cell names its source: the manufacturer’s page where it gave a value, the Amazon listing where it did not, and “Not stated in the fields we checked” where neither did. Where the two disagreed we show only the manufacturer’s value. The manufacturer pages do not match every listing exactly: Loloi’s page is the MER-03 Natural/Oatmeal style, nuLOOM’s Landry page shows Beige, Charcoal, and Brick but not the Brown on Amazon, and Safavieh’s shop page shows the 8 ft by 11 ft size of the CY8521-36621 style rather than 8 ft by 10 ft. If price matters most, the Loloi is the cheapest, but it is a bit smaller than the other three. The Nourison and nuLOOM are true 8×10 rugs at a lower price than the SAFAVIEH. The SAFAVIEH costs the most and its listing is the only one that mentions OEKO-TEX certification. Colors, patterns, and collections differ, so pick the look you want first and use price and care notes to decide between similar styles. We did not test any of them.
