A monitor arm lifts your screen off the desk, frees up space, and lets you set the height and distance. This comparison puts single monitor arms from Kensington, Fellowes, and Ergotron side by side on price, weight range, size limit, and warranty.
How We Chose
We compared four single monitor desk clamp arms from three established office ergonomics brands. All four offers are available on Amazon. We also looked at Humanscale, and the Ergotron LX Classic, but the offers we found were from third-party resellers, so we left them out. The arms are not identical. The weight limits differ (up to 17.6 lbs for Kensington, Fellowes and the NX, and 4 to 22 lbs for the LX Pro), the maximum screen sizes differ (32 inches for Kensington and Fellowes, and 34 for both Ergotron arms), and the LX Pro is a higher tier product than the others. Arm prices change with color, so check the exact variant. Specs and warranty terms come from each manufacturer’s own pages, and each table cell names its source. Fellowes’s spec sheet and install manual disagree on screen size, weight and clamp range, so we show both. The Amazon listing for the Fellowes says 40 inches and 5 years, which Fellowes’s own documents do not show, and Ergotron’s spec sheets do not list clamp thickness, so those cells come from the Amazon listing. Kensington’s warranty page was not readable. This is a researched comparison, not a hands-on test, so we make no claims about how smoothly any arm moves or how well it holds a heavy monitor over time. Prices are Amazon prices checked in September 2026 and can change.

If you want the lowest price, the Kensington is $55.99 and is the only one that lists a space-saving design. If you have a larger monitor, the two Ergotron arms list up to 34 inches, the largest in Ergotron’s and Kensington’s own documents. The Ergotron NX is a mid-priced arm with a 5 year warranty, and the LX Pro costs the most and lists the widest weight range and a 10 year warranty. Check your monitor weight and VESA pattern first, since that decides which arms fit. We did not test any of them.
