A portable gas grill is what you bring to a tailgate, campsite, or small patio. This comparison puts four tabletop propane-style grills from Cuisinart, Char-Broil, Weber, and Coleman side by side on cooking area, power, weight, ignition, and warranty.

How We Chose

We compared four portable gas grills from Cuisinart, Char-Broil, Weber, and Coleman, all available on Amazon. We left out the Traeger Ranger and Pit Boss portable pellet grills because the offers we found were from third-party sellers, and pellet grills are a different type. The grills are not identical. The Coleman has two burners and the others list one, and the Cuisinart has a smaller cooking area, so the specs differ, and each cell names its source: the manufacturer’s page where it gave a value and the Amazon listing otherwise. Weber’s page for the Q 1200N model number is its Canada page (we found no US page for it), and Coleman’s site did not show model 2000033047, so its cells come from the closest RoadTrip 225 page. We replaced the Cuisinart Petite Gourmet because Cuisinart now lists it as discontinued, and use its current Venture portable grill, which Cuisinart shows as available. This is a researched comparison, not a hands-on test, so we make no claims about heat or how evenly they cook beyond what each listing says. Prices are Amazon prices checked in September and October 2026 and can change.

Our Take

If weight matters most, the Weber Q is the lightest at 20.1 lbs, and the Cuisinart Venture is close behind at 20.57 lbs with the smallest cooking area and a wooden lid that doubles as a cutting board. If you want 200 sq in for the least money, the Char-Broil is the lowest priced and lists a 5 year burner and lid warranty. The Weber Q lists a lid thermometer and cast-iron grates at a higher price, and Weber’s page lists 5 years on most major parts. The Coleman is the only two-burner grill here, with the most cooking area. Check what fuel and cylinder each grill uses before you buy. We did not test any of them.
