A folding solar panel opens up next to your campsite and recharges a portable power station, so lights, fans and phones keep running without a generator. We compared three 100 to 110 watt folding panels from Jackery, EcoFlow and Anker.

How We Chose

We picked three well-known power brands that make a folding panel in the 100 watt class. They are close but not identical: the Jackery and Anker use bifacial cells that also collect light on the back, while the EcoFlow is a single-sided 110 watt panel. Each ships with cables for its own brand’s power stations, so check the connector against yours. EcoFlow’s product page and manuals list different sizes and water resistance figures for different revisions of the 110W panel, and we note which figure we used. Specs come from each manufacturer’s own product pages and manuals. Each card lists the warranty from the manufacturer’s own warranty page. Prices are the Amazon prices on the date shown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a power station to use these panels?

Jackery lists built-in USB-A and USB-C ports on the SolarSaga 100 Air for charging small devices straight from the panel. EcoFlow and Anker list cables for connecting their panels to a power station and do not list USB ports.

What does bifacial mean?

A bifacial panel has solar cells that also collect light on the back side, such as sunlight reflected off sand, snow or a light colored tarp. Jackery’s manual gives 110 watts for the SolarSaga 100 Air with rear-side light, and Anker says the PS100 Bifacial makes up to 10% more power. The EcoFlow 110W is single-sided.

Which power stations do they work with?

Each panel ships with cables for its own brand’s power stations. Jackery uses a DC8020 cable with a DC7909 adapter and says the SolarSaga 100 Air will not recharge the Explorer 300 v2, 300, 300D or 240D. EcoFlow includes a solar to XT60 cable, and Anker includes an XT60i cable.

Can they get wet?

All three are listed as IP68. Jackery and Anker still advise against leaving the panels in heavy rain or submerging them, so pack them away in a storm.

What warranty do they have?

Anker gives 5 years on the PS100 Bifacial. Jackery gives 1 year, extendable by registering, and longer terms for panels bought on Jackery.com. EcoFlow gives 12 months on the 110W panel.
